Truffer disregards the law and tries to bury his own misconduct to dodge accountability. I'll leave it at that to avoid having my comment censored/removed. As an afterthought, It's interesting to have learned that Truffer not long ago came under intense public scrutiny in a criminal case for the highly controversial sentence he handed down to a police officer who was convicted of Ray-P. For the love of god, if this thing isn't removed from the bench, perhaps they could reassign him permanently to traffic court where he cannot cause so much senseless harm and pain. This thing checks the boxes of psychopathy.

Judge Truffer is an excellent judge. Great temperament. I have been an attorney for 32 years and I have not seen a judge handle a contested custody case better. For all the negative opinions (stemming from 1 case apparently), coming from people whose legal knowledge or how a Courtroom should be run is zero, take those opinions for what they are worth (nothing)

Judge Truffer kept a calm demeanor and presented cogent reasons for his decision on a key, case-defining motion. He was wrong, and we lost. Still, Judge Truffer was "fair and reasonable."

Rapist belong in jail not at home hving a life. He’s been accused of other rapes. Remove him from bench and review all rape and domestic abuse cases he ruled on.

Sentencing rapist to home confinement is shameful. I am a man and your questioning of the victim's mental pain brought tears to my eyes. Judge Truffer has more compassion for a rapist than he has for the victim of the rape. His twisted logic should be expunged from the judiciary. The citizens of Maryland deserve better.

This judge needs to be held accountable. Similar to Judge Bernstein in Howard County. What does this verdict tell other victims, as well as other police officers who decide to rape. The judge likely has cultural affinity with the perpetrator. This completely disgusts me to no end. No justice No peace. Know Justice - Know Peace.

All of Truffer’s previous rape cases should be reviewed for other disgusting judgements. Everyone has terrible life in jail so by his ignorance no one should hv to be incarcerated. Remove incompetent Truffer.

The home detention sentence Judge Truffer handed down to a police officer with multiple complaints of rape and sexual misconduct is an abomination. Judge Truffer should be forced from the bench for obvious bias and failure to follow the law and sentencing guidelines. The preferential treatment afforded the former officer is appalling. Judge Truffer should be forced to experience the same conduct the victims experienced. Maybe then he would change his opinion on what the victims actually suffered. Truffer is a total disgrace to the justice system.

You should go to jail for this decision. You are an absolute idiot.. and that is the nicest thing I have to say.

As a mom of two young girls I’m sickened and disgusted that this dishonorable judge gave no jail time to a convicted rapist. This alone is appalling enough and more anger-inducing is that he had the gall to say the victim didn’t seem to be “psychologically damaged”. Absolutely unreal. And people are given jail time for minor drug offenses.

Shameful judgement and comments Truffer! Assigning HOME DETENTION for a RAPIST you convicted? According to evidence, detectives were investigating this man for allegedly assaulting three other women, yet you ruled as if it was his first offense ignoring these facts and contradicted yourself, claiming one moment that there was “not evidence of any psychological injury to the victim,” in your ruling - yet according to the journalist, the "Prosecutors said the judge made that finding despite having remarked at the time of the verdict that what happened to the victim “may be the most traumatic moment of” her life. Home detention for a convicted rapist? This should result in disqualification of a judge’s right to be on the bench.

It seems that rape isn't traumatic if it's by perveted police officers according to Judge Truffler. Imagine being related to this supporating pustule, having the the misfortune to be raped, only to hear this misbetton son of a dead dogs anus say, "oh it's ok, it's not that traumatic." To you dear Judge, it's a pity that you can't feel the horror that was perpetrated, one can only hope that any afterlife there may be, will give you a full education rergarding your ignorance.

I would really like to know how a male can say a female rape victim suffered no negative to her mental health. Thank you judge for insulting every rape victim. I hope that no female you know is ever a victim and then end up with a judge like this
