Ken Schubert

Unfortunately will have to contend with and agree with other reviewers who stated he seems to have a biased against women in family law cases. He had no intention from the start to want to even hear mom’s side of the story or believe any of facts about the father, his history of physical abuse, and the fact that his mental illness plays a huge role in what he is doing to the children. When you have a nasty narcissist judge and an even nastier ex willing to stop at nothing to try to ruin your life by using the children as weapons against you are at the losing end. It’s unfortunate and sad that families have to have their lives decided by this monster of a”judge”. I hope he gets back all the misery he causes to undeserving parents and families.

The most horrible judge i've ever seen in my life. If I was trial under a communist party control's judge court in Hanoi, I think I would have a better and fair trial than under Ken Schubert's court in Washington State.

Abusive! He has a terrible temperment. Talks down to people and speaks endlessly on issues he obviously knows nothing about as though an expert. He lazily refuses to read pleadings, litterally complains about thier submission stating "You don't expect me to read all these do you?" Yes,it it is literally your job! Has no consideration for people especially children and the vunerable and thier safety or well being. Doesn't like anyone but himself talking. It is as though we've allowed an abusive narcissist on the bench. Justice is not sevred if evidence is not considered. This judge has god complex and makes determinations based on how smart he thinks he is in lieu of evidence. He talks to people in court like an abuseer. He is unprofessional in his discourse. Courtesy should be shown for all sides, there is no reason to be insulting. I feel sorry for the people whose important life issues are treated with such contempt with no recourse but to just take it. He abuses the power of the bench.

Horrible and unreasonable. I don't know how he is even a judge! Doesn't consider facts and in a careless way passes judgements. Is biased against private schools and doesn't have children’s or mothers best interests at heart. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. If you are a mom and you get him as a judge remove him immediately by affidavit. He is horrible.

First and foremost, I will admit that Judge Schubert is a brilliant legal scholar and that his knowledge of the law is vast. Unfortunately, he is the type of Judge that needs to make sure everyone knows that he is the smartest man in the room. Additionally, this often seems to lead to Judge Schubert making up his mind in a matter, based on his own preconceptions of the laws and facts, well before a matter is fully presented; this regularly manifests itself in this Judge making his own objections for the party he pre-conceives to be prevailing, in the Judge eliciting testimony from witnesses himself, and in the Judge often injecting his own beliefs and arguments into the record. I have discussed this with several of my contemporaries, and this does seem to be a reoccurring concern with this Judge. Effectively, if you are able to make a good first impression with this Judge, it will likely carry you to victory at trial; however, if you have any indication early on in the action that this Judge is favoring the other party, it is likely that he has already made up his mind and that it is not likely to change.
