Judge Katz is an excellent jurist! She always considers each side of an argument prior to making any decisions. I would recommend her to any attorney. The nasty comments left on this page are simply a product of individuals who received adverse family law rulings. In family law it's impossible for everyone to win. I think you are absolutely right about Judicial Officer Keri Katz. All those mannerisms apply to a judicial officer - Those manners often falls into place when the parties have submitted enough arguments, filed or not filed enough motions, appeals and other and overall those manners are generally applied when the Judicial officer is stuck with no independent law-like decision as the current status of a defendant vs a plaintiff or the other ways arounds becomes an experience to that of a judicial officer bearing no choice but to REFLECT what is seen in the MIRROR of the litigants before the court. I was on one of the judge’s juries. Judge Katz was simply wonderful. She treated everyone including the jurors with kindness and respect. I appreciated her explanation of court proceedings. It was a great experience. I don’t like jury duty but I will serve again because of her.

Judge Keri Katz is a superstar! She judges fairly, listens to both sides, is polite, considers the facts and the law and rules accordingly. When she makes a decision you may not necessarily be one that you want but the ruling is always based on the facts and the law. Straight forward, unbiased approach to judging. TERRIFIC JUDGE!!

Keri Katz is horrible! She is extreme and obvious in her bias,she is very arrogant and ill tempered,horribly rude with no respect for anyone and has zero manners,she is unwilling to hear the facts and refuses to allow proof of the truth to be spoken or presented and she is totally dismissive. She has no willingness and makes no effort to honor the position or title of judicial officer. She is careless and destructive with no conscious for the damage her rulings do to those she passes judgement on and has no understandng of the definition of justice. She needs to be removed from the bench and made to pay restitution to the victims of her unethical immoral unwarranted judgements against the many individuals whose lives have been irrevocably destroyed by her unacceptable behavior.

Judge Katz is fair, kind, patient and bright. She is always very well prepared.

11 years as a civil litigator and law firm partner here. I find her to be the worst judge on the San Diego superior court. Dumb and rude. Automatic 170.6 for me.
