I am having to deal with this judge regarding a probate matter. It is complicated. I have filed claims and a wrongful death suit against a decedent's estate. She decided to let the estate be closed without regard to my wrongful death claim. Basically, my stepdad starved my mother. She continually entertains the Administrator's counsel's failings regarding filing and serving documents. Counsel serves some documents, but not others, files some documents, but not others and she is letting him get away with this behavior. It seems like "laws" are more like "guidelines" to her and she can decide or not decide depending on her mood. She should definitely be removed from the bench as I have never witnessed a more lazy, uncaring judge than Judge Colwell. I was born and raised in Alameda County and judges like her make me embarrassed to be from such a county that doesn't care about justice, just clearing the courts' calendars. If she doesn't care about her job anymore, she needs to leave. She is serving justice for NO ONE!
