I’ve seen this judge many times and as I watch other hearings before mine, I noticed a common theme. He is very bias!!!!

Idiot judge ever.

This judge did not deserve any forgiveness for his wickedness judgement. Hell. Period.

The judge only "hears" one side of the story. Once he has made up his mind, everything else goes in one ear and out the other. He lacks empathy in a major way. Definitely pro-Cop, and especially so if the petitioner is a high ranking officer in the City he resides in. He refused to explore any of the evidence I presented because he had already made up his mind. I don't think he even read my declarations or looked at my evidence. If he had done his due diligence he would have known the answers to the questions he asked me... like "do you have a therapist". Collectively the petitioner, their attorney and the Judge all managed to successfully, gaslight a situation and create their own narrative in favor of the Thin Blue Line. If you are married to a cop and can't call the cops when you are abused by your spouse, don't ever take matters into your own hands to protect your children or yourself. You will be punished. The judge will clearly protect the badge and their career and give zero regard to your future, your career and your children's well-being. Thanks Judicial system!

This evil judge is the one who created all chaos and criminal activity than those innocent victims by granting the criminal abuser a free pass to get away with everything and allow them to destroy/ detrimental others people kid/ family. Totally unacceptable behavior and have autism tendencies. I pray Hell of judgement get his ass himself.

Along with their courts recorders, very ill bias. Blindness to side for all abuser. Do not recommend to handle Family case.

At the time of a first initial hearing for a child custody, Judge Athanasiou did not request for a mediation prior to a temporary Finding and Order for parents to mediate beforehand. During the hearing, an alarming statement was made by him in which he stated that he would have left children home to take a family member to the emergency department (in which was discussed in this case children under the age of 3 and 9 - would be left alone).

Judge Athanasiou has one of the best judicial temperaments that I have seen. He is humble enough to admit that he does not know something and is open to counsel educating him by providing legal citations. He listens to both sides and seems to care about making a fair decision.

The Hon. Judge Athanasiou decided to "punish" and impose sanctions on a defendant, who already struggles from the trauma experienced because of the court's cruel and unusual, and unnessasery actions of imposing homelessness and indigent! The Hon. Judge's reasoning for this outragous punishment? Simply because the defendant's inability to obtain competent legal defence counsel which is directly due to the actions of the court which made the defendant destite. This should be a rating category for Judicial Disgrace! This "Hon." Judge would easy receive a "10" rating!

In a family law matter, the judge ordered soberlink testing. He was not aware of how the soberlink device worked, that it took photos and had facial recognition to verify the user. The other party made false allegations regarding the test taker and the judge ordered ME to provide a letter from soberlink detailing how the device works. I immediately received a letter from soberlink, and Upon the review hearing for the matter, the judge did not even read my declaration containing a certified letter from soberlink and began the hearing by reading off the other party's declaration filed 3 days before the hearing attempting to admonish me. The judge does not pay attention or even know the functions of tests or things that he orders. Not only that, he ordered the other party to file all documents 2 weeks before the hearing. I made a objection to have the other party held in contempt and to have the late filing stricken from the record, and the judge found any way to weasel himself out of holding her in direct contempt of his court order.
