Lance M. Day

Incompetent is the best thing that can be said about Lance Day.

An absolutely horrible judge; ignorant, incompetent, arrogant. Has been "promoted" to chief administrative judge, which fortunately means he will not be in court ruining people's lives. Unfortunately Day is what you get in our system - a failed lawyer who found a way to get elected as a low-level circuit judge. Even though he never practiced family law (he actually never pracitced any law) got elected family law judge. He has lived off the largesse of the citizens of Duval County for his entire career. At some point he'll collect a pension. At least he won't be in the courtroom any more.

Terrible judge. Went to one of the lowest rated law schools in the country. He's so embarrassed by his poor law school that he lists only his undergraduate degree from Florida State on his bio. Was incompetent as a trial judge, so moved to family law. Now he's the administrative judge, which thankfully will remove him from the courtroom.

I can't tell you how frustrating this judge is, doesn't care about witnesses.. evidence.. nothing.. he takes decisions only on what he feels like that day.. closes his eyes to evidence.. whatever it takes to finish the hearings and move on to the next one, impacting children's life.. taking irrational decisions with no foundation.. no reason as to why JUST BECAUSE.. one day he sees the other party for who she is.. and the other and taking her irrational for no reason.. completely bias for women.. it doesn't matter how many rules or laws the mothers brake or years of withholding children from their father for the most illogical reasons.. but God forbids the father sneezes funny.. the whole custody is removed from him.. this judge just made the entire county loose hope on the system.. so much money wasted!!

Never met anyone as genuinely incompetent and bias as this sorry human. Right or wrong - he hears what he wants and never allows anyone else to speak. I don’t think he could ice cream in a competent manner. To think that he has fooled so many people I’d astonishing.

Another judge I sent letters to that didn't care about my kids being put in a sex offenders household are all these judges wanting all mine and others to get molested yes they r in m ready for a lawsuit.

He is a very dangerous man. He shouldn't be a judge. He is not impartial in any way. He is not fair. He needs to be removed from his job and replaced with someone who is qualified for this job.

Lance Day is a worthless human being. He went to a bottom-tier law school. He doesn't follow the law, but just does what he feels like. Testimony in his courtroom is worthless, because he's not listening. He just sits there with his thumb up his ass. He's just collecting a salary. Hopefully he'll retire soon so the taxpayers of Duval County can replace him with someone intelligent and willing to work. But then he'll sit on his ass like he did as a judge and collect a pension. Hopefully he'll die before too long so we don't have to pay him any more than we have to. Just an awful judge, and a worse human being, if that's at all possible.

How is this man still employed by the taxpayers of Duval County. Doesn't listen to the facts in the case; his decision is already made prior to the hearing or trial. It's a waste of time to appear in front of him. More importantly it's a waste of attorney's fees.

The most arrogant person I've ever met. He tries to present himself as humble and honorable; he's not. He has been a joke in every position he has held in the Duval County legal system. It's a shame that he makes decisions that impact peoples lives. Asking whether you want fries with your order is probably the most responsibility he's capable of.

Lance Day is without a doubt the most incompetent judge in Duval County, and probably in Florida. He’s collecting a salary, paid by the taxpayers of Duval County, and will, at some point, collect a pension. He’s of very low intelligence, simple concepts are beyond his grasp. He’s extremely arrogant, often speaking over the litigants in his mistaken belief that he is highly intelligent, and that the litigants should be honored to be in his presence. If you are in the unfortunate position to have Day assigned to your case do whatever you can to get another judge assigned to your case. Judges in general are horribly inept, but even the worst judge is better than Day. The saying goes that if you’re not a part of the solution that you’re part of the problem. Day isn’t part of the problem, he IS the problem. .

Horribly incompetent judge. Sadly, his decisions impact peoples lives. He was never a family law attorney, but somehow got elected family law judge. Who even looks at the judges when they're voting? if they ever encountered Lance Day they would pay more attention to the judges on the ballot. Lance Day is what happens when no one is paying attention. Unfortunately, if you get him as your judge you're screwed. But the bright side is that he makes up for his ignorance with tremendous arrogance. The day he retires will be a great day for the citizens of Duval County.

This "judge" is an embarrassment. He's completely unfit to judge a children's talent show much less a trial. He talks down to the litigants as though they should be honored to be in his courtroom. It's absolutely amazing that someone with such a weak educational background could be so arrogant. He's never held a real job in his life, but somehow got elected. This is why all judges should be appointed, so they become judges based on merit. Hopefully he'll retire soon so that a real judge can take his place. Then he'll just continue to live off the largesse of the Duval County taxpayers.

Lance Day is unfit to serve as a judge. He odesn't know the law well. He abuses his power. He decides the outcome of the case before hearing testimony, and then use his "discretion" to rule as he pleases. He needs to removed from the bench. He is not fairly serving the people of Duval County. He needs to go.
