Hon. Laura A. Seigle was once in Family Court. Dept 87. As an attorney, I would watch her laugh in the faces of women who were clearing being abused. She compared a woman saying a swear word as "comparable" to her her ex boyfriend who dragged her across the floor and twisted her arm. She said "both did bad things". She stated that grabbing someone by the ankles and making them fall is not domestic violence. She said because the woman went back many times that she was "not afraid". The basics of abuse, just like in the P-diddy horror is that WOMEN GO BACK. Hon. Seigle is emotionally unintelligent. I also watched her hand a small child to a father who clearly had shown no interest in parenting until the mother, who had done everything for this little girl, decided not to be with this father. Even to the point where Seigle was advising father on how to care for the child who she just took away from the mother! Her lack of experience in human behavior and clearly is astounding. However, I have also been in front of her in business matters and she rules fair. I guess that is the wheel house she should stick to.

The may have gone to Harvard and Yale and has that type of intelligence, yet she should be thrown out of Family Law. She is completely illogical and has literally “RUINED” so many families due to her decisions. Prey to gos you never ever have to enter this witch’s courtroom. As a human being she is disgusting. She is like the result of sticking an enema in one’s rectum - VILE. I recall this Judge from 7 years ago and still full of disgust.

Wow. I spent 3 years in the CA Court system because of Judge Seigle. It literally bankrupted me and caused so much trauma and stress (and I'm a tough person!) - my court case was resolved by a different judge eventually, but I think of Justice Seigle often, because she was so bad. I was trying to get away from an abusive spouse, and frankly, she let the abuse continue, but in a court room. My Ex would be out in the halls even calling her a c*nt, he had ZERO respect for her or the court and she allowed him to draw out our court case for years. The bailiff was always on high alert, my Ex would be kicked out of the court room for defying orders, talking back/over the judge...he had FOUR different attorneys all request to be released. None of them were ever ready for our hearings, because he even refused to work with his own attorneys - and we never ever got our requests for any approved - I was awarded very little to nothing in attorney's fees, she did nothing when he cut off our bank accounts, she allowed him to stay in our home for over 3 years without paying me out. I can't say enough about how bad her decisions were, and how she allowed my Ex to continue his behavior - it was a nightmare. Eventually I moved to Montana, my Ex followed and continued to not pay child support and to abuse the kids. The Montana judge and court system clamped down on him so quickly - I got to see a justice system that works, and I'm grateful for that, but as a single mom not getting any child support to this day, when I think of Judge Seigle, I think of how the $250k I spent in her court room could have paid for my kids college. Shame on you Justice Seigle.

This judge is a p.i. hub judge and is pro-defense. She always denies plaintiffs' motions to compel and always grants defendants' motions. She also lacks a basic understanding of the law. If you get this judge, use your 170.6 challenge immediately.

This is a P.I hub judge that is pro-defense. She will never rule in favor of a plaintiff in any matter. She is rude to plaintiff's counsel. She is fast to award monetary discovery sanctions against plaintiffs but never against defense counsel. She has one set of rules for defendants and a different set of rules for plaintiffs. If you get this judge, immediately file a 170.6 challenge. There are few judges that are worse.
