Used Judge Sorokin for a civil mediation, in part due to good ratings, and he was completely unhelpful. He wasn't prepared, hadn't reviewed the law at issue, and he gave no evaluation or assessment of the case at all. He simply delivered messages back and forth. Any intern could have done that.

He was our mediator for an ugly family dispute. He was very polished and from memory knew the details along with cast of the characters. He managed to get my hard line sibblings to settle even though they didn't care about how much money they wasted. I think he is awesome.

Had him for a mediation. He was professional, very engaged, thoughtful and helpful in reaching a satisfactory resolution of a complex case.

My office had the chance to argue in His Honor's courtroom. Judge Sorokin was in a way fair but in a way not even-handed as far as bail conditions. The prosectuion came up with some farfetched conditions in which Sorokin matched without hearing argument from the defense. Judge Sorokin is fairly new and will learn that he is a neutral party. Hopefully he will see that he uses bail as a punishment. Overall, he seems like a really fair judge -- if you're not asking for bail.

Judge Sorokin is very cautios probally because he is fairly new. His willingness to side with prosecution on bail restrictions is a bit scary. His bail conditions are usally high set and unable to meet. He makes his own assumption even when facts are stated in your favor. He is on the side of the government and not a neutral party. He doesn't realize not eveyone is guilty and yes the prosecution lies very often. It's a shame as a new judge he lets this happen in his courtroom. We have found you are guilty until never proven innocent. In fact the fbi and the prosecution lies to make a case they know they don't have and He joins the circus.
