Judge Marquez is rude, dismissive, lacks regard for litigants’ time and grossly underprepared to hear the cases. He lacks factual understanding of his cases and is eager to scold anyone who enters his courtroom. He is visibly dissatisfied with his job and should perhaps consider an early retirement.

Judge Marquez cases all should be reheard .He breaks the rules and does not like to hear cases and wants the attorneys to do all the work for him unjust or not .He supports the abusers and side where the money is and could careless about the children .Thank god he’s is no longer a family Judge but I had to wait three years for this to happen and he made orders on a doctor who had her license revoke and he will not Anne d what he did even though I never even met the doctor and she made false diagnosis and he did not care and let me from my child for three years .He refused to allow us to go to mediation ,just because the other party didn’t want to attend even though we were schedule to attend .Sanction me for something I didn’t even do and with no proof he sanction me thousands and thousands of dollars that I don’t have .States in order I cannot motion anything to have it retried or looked at a..that his order final bit he’s no longer in that court room ..How can this man act like he’s God with no experience !!

Let's just say that people are happy Judge Marquez is being moved out of family court. He is not a "bad"judge, but do not put anything else on your calendar for the day if you have to appear before him. He will take 45-1hr on each matter when there are ten waiting. He has no problem letting the litigants continue to argue the same moot point again and again. He needs to learn to control his calendar better.

This judge was has no business in family court. He completely ignored the constitution, would not hear both sides and ignored irrefutable evidence. Obviously in my case he was running late and rushed through the process l, he also did not read my case did not review my sworn witness testimony. I was a proud patriotic American who served honorably in combat before dealing with this judge. He has no business in family court and should be removed. His lack of fairness and failure to do his job has damaged my faith in the process. After lecturing me when he knew nothing about my case he then made orders which violated the 1st amendment and allowed me to be the victim of abuse, he's a Disgrace. I'm disgusted with this judge and the entire system now.

I would give Judge Marquez a rating of 1 out of 10. Given the extended duration of my case, it has seen involvement from multiple judges, including Hon. Leslie G. Landau, Hon. Barry P. Goode, and Hon. Terri A. Mockler. In comparison to these judges, Judge Marquez stood out as the least satisfactory. His judicial demeanor exhibited the lowest quality among them. On one occasion, he became angry and raised his voice at me for asking a straightforward question to which I did not know the answer. While he may possess skills as a lawyer, they do not translate well into the role of a judge due to his lack of courtesy toward parties he does not favor. His behavior demonstrates a clear absence of the neutrality and impartiality expected of a judge, which are fundamental requirements for the role. It is worth noting that during proceedings where my ex and I represented ourselves, he seemed to take on a more adversarial role, resembling more of my ex's advocate than a neutral arbiter.
