This is one of the best judges out there. I think her part is dedicated to guns. She is kind, but firm. Expects a lot from the People, def.counsel and defendants but gives leeway for the indiscretions of one's youth. Had a gun case, defendant was an 18 year old kid, prosecutor's offered 5 years, judge appropriately gave him 3-years due to myriad mitigating circumstances. Not full of herself, just a decent smart jurist, calling balls and strikes. She runs a tight courtroom; even where a defednant has an outburst, she is understanding of all the circumstacnes. Always does what's right uner the circumstances. Could not ask for more from a judge. Even though the guns cases are all the same - only the names change-- she considers each case all important, i.e, in the interest of the public and the defendant and then dispenses justice in a fair, compassionate matter. A good draw in Queens for both the Poeple and a defendant.
