Judge Braner on the date of August 15, 2025, let me approach the Plaintiff area, but did not let me speak. Earlier, in the case before me, he had just shut down the last team that was on, and literally acted like he was pulling out his hair, and said to them: You Guys are Driving ME Crazy! Then moments later, I approached the table. Neither the Defense or myself was given the chance to speak when he said to me: "Well, You Won Your Case." He assured me that this was the idea to follow with various physical gestures, and by lowering his chin at me, and wishing me a good weekend. Of course, he was wrong about that idea, regarding winning my case, and really the whole thing was based on an MJOP filing failure with the Defense who simply had their contest cancelled without prejudice. I had no idea what was going on, and no one told me to look at any minute report. I went around for 6 months thinking I had won my case. But it wasn't true. When the official MJOP came through 6 months later, he just sat there letting the Clerk side with the Defense in preempted collusion of defeat against me. Later, when I objected, he just started yelling at me like he doing to everyone these days. The guy is out of it and does not believe in anything but protecting the county and their money that they owe people; that is if in fact Sharp Hospital has anything to do with the county of San Diego and its prevailing assets.

I am judging this activist "judge" solely on his recent decision to insert his far left bias into demanding Rady Children's Hospital resume butchering kids. He has zero standing in this matter, (legislating from the bench) especially as a lowley Superior Court judge. I worked at Rady's years back and would have quit if they were performing these Josef Mengele type of experiments back then. Matt Braner received his Commie indoctrination at UC Berkeley and was first appointed by nutcase Jerry Brown. If there will ever be a sane candidate to run against this POS, rest assured that the ignorant voters in San Diego will reelect Braner.

For my case, I'm fairly certain he, or his law clerk, was inappropriately relying on artificial intelligence to interpret the law. I think he was confused by what he read in the law and what common sense and the common usage of the words requires, and what AI was telling him. Also, he forgets what he said at a previous hearing and how he previously ruled and then overturns himself at the next hearing. He probably was a decent judge at one time. Now I think he's lost his facilities to reason clearly and should step down.

Looks like the huge majority of Judge Braner's reviews are from parties whom he ruled against, who probably have a very limited understanding of the issues that were presented. My name is Mark Poe, SLS class of 2002. I hadn't known Judge Braner from Adam, but just did a 4-day jury trial before him (in a pro bono engagement with zero motion practice). I've done lots of jury trials in California, mostly federal, but Judge Braner is the second best trial judge I've ever had (next to Judge Bolanos in SF Superior). He was highly attentive to all the testimony and exhibits, completely even-handed, and super-industrious in independently making sure that we had all the jury instructions and special verdict language right (he cared way more than I did about these details, in fact). And I'm not saying any of this because he liked me -- after I did an aggressive cross, he warned me that he'd admonish me in front of the jury if I kept it up. And I'll bet if you asked him, he'd say he didn't like my style. But whatever, I liked *his style. And then we won the jury's verdict.

This guy is looney tunes. He forgets who is who. Seems like he's taking uppers and downers at the same time. Clueless on the law. Told another litigant he doesn't care about federal law. Corrupt as hell. 170.6 asap. You've been warned.

Unlike most people who only review someone when they have a negative experience, to balance out the negative comments, I think that Judge Braner is one of the better judges we have on the superior court. He always reads the papers. He almost always issues tentative rulings. When he needs more time to decide an issue, he takes it. He tries to resolve issues proactively as opposed to forcing the parties to file motions. He does not always rule in my favor but his rulings are never without logic, even if I disagree.

Just like all the others have said, Braner is biased, prejudiced, incompetent, and lazy. The best advice is to remove him from the case. If you happen to be on the "good side" of his bias, the case will be lost on appeal because of his incompetence, so everyone should remove him from their cases, and he should be disbarred and left to starve in the streets outside of the court a toothless and penniless victim of plague. He is without ethics and morals in his rulings and attitudes. Remember, there is no honor among thieves, and he is a criminal sociopath who will sell you out with no worries just like anyone else, depending on his sick mind's moods and fluctuating blood sugar levels. Sick
