Michael J. Jurkovich

I was there for a civil matter. At first he seemed fair and seemed to be stern maintaining legislation as his main motive. That would've been great, nothing wrong there. Unfortunately it would appear that he, as with most, (in my opinion ) he is stuck in a rubric way of thinking incapable of seeing the big picture. There was a trustee representing an estate and she was clearly motivated to get the biggest reward for her close family consisting of step relatives. With this restraining order in place she would then be allowed to make moves without worrying about what the actual blood heir might do in retaliation. Not meant in a criminal way but any general way of over re-acting, threats of litigation or the like. She was now free to do as she wished...and she is. Maybe open your eyes on occasion before you ruin someone's life, just a thought.

We need more judges like Judge Jurkovich. He is very learned, practical, and one of a kind. He knows everything about your case before each hearing so no wasting time bringing the court up to speed. He handles complex issues great and we look to him for guidance always, which he is always able to provide.

Judge Jurkovich is the kind of judge we need more of in California: In his pleasant, well-run courtroom everyone, including pro pers, is treated with respect, even kindness. He is well organized, well prepared, thoughtful, considerate, efficient and fair. He studies each case before he takes the bench and so he is ready to go without any fumbling around. To me, that shows that he is conscientious and dedicated to his role as a judge. My matters were not particularly complex, so I have no experience in how he handles complex trials, but based on his handling of the few matters I have had before him, I would be delighted to draw him as the trial judge in a complex matter.
