I became disable in 2018, when my landlord failed to adhere to state and city laws regarding pesticide use, HEPA vacuuming, and tenant protections regarding asbestos and mold. Judge Schreiber was the original judge who heard my case in 2018 and 2022. She never once charged the landlord with contempt of court though they routinely violated her orders. She forced me to settle my case instead of charging the landlord with Contempt of court which included fines. She never looked at all the photos and videos I had. Instead, she blamed ME for "access issues." For 4 years, I told the judge and landlord where the roaches and mice where coming from 4 years ago when false backs were put behind my lower kitchen cabinets in 2018 and 2019. They only took down my upper cabinets this May and found the same holes and cracks in the walls, dead and live roaches, and eggs ready to burst. Judge Schreiber sided with the landlord's lawyer who actually completed a 3 year term on the NYC Rent Guidelines Board. Because my SSDI income was above the limits to get a free lawyer, I had no legal representation. I have been diagnosed with asthma, vocal cord dysfunction, neurological and ophthalmologic issues resulting from their negligence. Judge Schreiber is a disgrace. She is retiring so more tenants will not suffer from her failure to hold landlord's accountable. I plan on filing a major civil case against the landlord, pest control companies, and HPD for failure to uphold the laws that are on the books.

Completely unprofessional, gets angry at litigants for no reason, short-tempered. Incapable of handling the job. Likes to exert power just for the sake of it. Lazy and does not want to write decisions. Mistreats pro se litigants. Lets her personal moods affect her rulings. Doesn't care what the law is, just how she feels about a litigant at any moment in time. In other words, fits right in as a housing court judge.

She is rude and yell’s she should be a bookkeeper not a judge because she involves herself in matters that have nothing to do with the case before her. She is disrespectful to counsel no gown person should be yelled at like he or she is a child just disgusting the way she yells. I didn’t know they were holding auditions to replace Judge Judy.

The judge is biased hostile and zero show of professionalism. Her own feelings is consider facts.

I've been in court with this judge on two different occasions. She is extremely hostile, rude toward the tenant and inappropriately and unprofessionally accommodating to the landlord. This is how I perceived her both times. Not interested in the truth or justice. Biased.
