Monica Lepe-Negrete

This is one of only a couple female judges in El Centro and that is strange but this lady does not know how to speak so people understand. she needs to go back to judge training because the people in the audience there for there case or for a incarcerated defendant cannot understand her because she talks like she just drank a bunch of red bull. one defendant we saw had to ask his attorney all the time what the judge said becauase no one could understand the judge! so all the attorneys have to explain everything and they don't even talk to their clients until they all come to court! I pity anyone who has to be in front of Lepe Negrete! the other commenter is exactly right!

I was there to support a family member and had to wait a while sitting in the audience. I'm not a taxpayer in this county but if I was and a loved one was a defendant, I would order the transcripts because you cannot even understand this judge! She talks like a bat out of hell from the time she sits down! If I had to come out of the lockup into her courtroom and be rushed to talk to the attorney and the attorney had to hurry up and talk man I would file some kind of complaint that you do not know what is going on in your case because this lady can't even speak like a regular person in conversation. I feel sorry for all the defendnats going through her courtroom and I am very glad my relative's case is finally over because other wise we were going to get all the records and transcripts because you can not just rely on the attorney! You have to know what the judge said!
