I am a self-represented litigant in a civil matter. During my case, I was not permitted to introduce or discuss my evidence. A hearing was conducted off the record without my knowledge or consent. Additionally, an attorney who was not my attorney of record appeared and made oral arguments on my behalf without my authorization, and the court did not inquire into or confirm my consent to any substitution of counsel.

My Office was fortunate enough to conduct a trial recently (September 2024) before Judge Moyne. It was a contentious trial as the insurance carrier (Greater New York) is known for being difficult to resolve cases. Making matters worse complex issues regarding excess insurance carriers had to be addressed. Ultimately this matter settled subsequent to closing statements. I can represent but not for Justice Moyne's hard work and dedication this matter would never have settled. He has an excellent temperament as well as an even handedness with both plaintiffs and defendants. What was most appreciated was Justice Moyne's work ethic. He worked tirelessly for all the parties to bring this matter to a resolution. Lastly his clerk and the rest of his staff only made a difficult trial that much easier. Thank you to Judge Moyne for all of his hard work.

In my 30 plus years, I've never seen a Judge work as hard at helping both sides work through complex legal issues and dedicate himself to getting the case settled. He was amazing,literally putting in full days to assist. Wow. Wish there were more like him. And his staff were also excellent! Bravo.
