How HON. Giller does not have 100 positive feedback is perplexing, as this former PD is amongst the very best Judges from whom to seek resolution of your case. Her Honor is neither punitive nor soft, rather she striked a refined balance between a no-nonsense demeanor demanding decorum and willing to make offers that sedek rehabilitation rather than incarceration. Unfortunately, there is a reputation that former Public Defenders are not strict enough and former Prosecutors are too stern, however I have resolved at least 10 matters in her courtroom and have had Associates who have resolved at least twice that amount, and never once have I had a client complain that their sentence was too harsh. Her Honor routinely offers attorneys the chance to sidebar, making herself available and is not afraid to lay down the law when the circumstances so require. I should point out that she is assisted by the very best Clerks, the County has to offer, who are willing to put in the work and time required by that position. The head clerk would be an asset to any Courtroom and knows how to handle matters in a way that prevents unnecessary hearings or litigation. If you have a hearing in N9 I suggest arriving at 8:30am sharp or calling if that is impossible. Commissioner Giller is prompt and endeavors to have matters that will be resolving out of the Courtroom well before lunch. This review is long overdue.
