When you and your magistrate have to write 83 pages in total claiming there is allegedly 'no evidence' to go to a jury, and hundreds of other grievous incidents of the exact same sort are disposed of, via the court sitting as a jury, finding facts left and right, as well as ignoring admissions by the corporate defendant, you know you are in a disturbing modern day star chamber, even if the plaintiff is a decorated federal agent. I would never file another case here as a plaintiff.

Doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to areas of extrajudicial expertise. But that does not stop him. Another federal judicial aristocrat who hasn't read 7th amendment in many years.

Defense lawyer in black robe. Perfectly willing to sit as a jury himself.

One of the few judges who won't reflexively take the government at its word or parrot its arguments. Incredibly thorough scholarship in his opinions. Completely independent and evenhanded. Just wants to get it right. (He ruled against us on a big issue and against the government on a big issue.) Lets you try your case. Treats you like an adult.

The laziest, least industrious judge I have ever seen. He is unprepared for conferences, will let a motion sit around without decision forever. A disgrace to the judiciary.

Judge Gardephe rendered a terrible decision where he disregarded/misinterpreted the law and seemed to back into a decision that he had decided was the "fair result".

He is a brand new judge, but he seems to be a good, forward-thinking, and open-minded judge. Very nice judicial presence and seems like a thoughtful jurist.
