This guy is a hack. He has no business being on the bench, let alone an attorney. Someone claimed he went to BYU [Redacted by Ed.]

Commissioner Kawai is in 10 now. I note he is punctual, super efficient, fair, and pleasant. Great place for him before he is elevated to a criminal trial courtroom.

Dear Private, What you describe shows a continuation of a pattern in Ventura County of conservative judges siding with criminal defendants in civil matters, as if the burden of proof were beyond a reasonable doubt instead of a preponderance of the evidence, simply because one party is accused of criminal activity. Judges in Ventura have ignored substantial evidence against abusers, even medical evidence of physical injury. These judges need to be opposed as the scoundrels that they are. These judges are forgetting the impact on real victims, who are made to pay their perpetrators tens of thousands of dollars in attorney fees after their wrongful decisions. Judge Kawai is exactly the reason so many fear law enforcement and the judicial system, resulting in criminals having free reign and victims being hesitant to report what happened to them. Very Truly, Ventura County's Radiant Truth

Biased against males in DV matters.

Biased against males in DV matters. Moving party was in custody and Kawai still granted her requests. When a party is calling into court from jail, they should not be allowed to continue manipulating the judicial process. Kawai wake up.
