Judge Randy Crane was very fair, knowledgeable, and super prepared for every hearing we had in a complex case. He's one of the best judges I've been before in federal court practice.
Brilliant. Easy to work in front of as criminal lawyer. Allows continuances as needed. Stay out of the way in a criminal trial and lets everyone try their case. Gives low end of the guidelines at sentencing.
Pro corporations and gov't. Not a Levitical or Psalmic Judge!
Doesn't seem to understand that voir dire is for learning people's bias, which might require the occasional personal question, but being left in the dark works against both sides. Overall, quite fair, reasonably tolerant, and let's the litigants try their case.
