Please make sure to cross-reference these comments with Judge Rebecca Zipp- not sure why she changed her name but she should not be permitted to have two different sets of reviews based on her name change. Horrible judge on every level. Can't think of the last time I appeared before someone so incompetent with such a profoundly miserable demeanor and the worst possible instincts re child safety one could ever imagine.

This is a family court appointment. I had 3 hearings in front of this judge. All were despicable. One was an exparte hearing requested by me due to my daughter being kidnapped by her father and taken to another country. The next hearing was requested by my attorney for the same reason but was calendared and held 6 weeks later. Judge Church never allowed my attorney to present my case! Instead, she got completely derailed bc my ex’s high conflict attorney filed off the wall false allegations about me rather than respond with the whereabouts of the father and our child. Over a year after my daughter was kidnapped, the father’s attorney brought me in front of Judge Church demanding that I pay child support to the father. This attorney lied to Judge Church’s face and told her that she gave custody to the father with no visitation to me. My attorney responded that there was a child support case already managed by DCSS and the Family Support Division so Judge Church shouldn’t be hearing a case about support. Judge Church replied that she could hear whatever she wanted to hear. And so I got to through another lambasting by this judge parroting opposing counsels completely baseless false allegations. CPS never investigated me, the district attorneys abduction unit has been at work trying to locate my daughter. I am in profound pain over grief losing all contact with my one child. Two weeks after that 3rd hearing, my attorney got a letter in the mail from the court stating that Judge Church recused herself.

Very bad experience.

She’s even-tempered, but she definitely does not read briefs and motions and relies mostly on following common courtroom practices, even if not substantiated by law. She seems capable of being smart and independent but instead chooses to be a courier of favor from established attorneys. Basically, she works for attorneys not the other way around. She trends toward the lowest common denominator, a sign of someone either new to the system or doesn’t really care about the system and is trying to advance to the next job.

While Judge Church maintains a professional demeanor in the courtroom, their rulings have raised serious concerns about fairness and impartiality. Too often, decisions have relied on hearsay instead of verified facts and critical evidence has been overlooked or disregarded. This creates the impression that outcomes are predetermined rather than based on the merits of the case. As a litigant, it is disheartening to feel that the truth and documented evidence are not being fully considered.

I did not receive a favorable outcome and had to pay more to the other party than I would have liked including attorneys fees but I have to say that this judge did a great job. She examined all the evidence we both presented which some judges are afraid to do. She asked great questions to myself and to the attorney representing petitioner. Overall you have to give credit where credit is due. Good job on a fair hearing even though I have to pay for attorneys fees. I hope we never have to see eachother again, but if we do, I know you'll see through all the nonsense and issue a fair ruling.

Supports the abuse of children through acceptance of fraudulent claims. Self represented people are treated as rats and attorneys specializing in human trafficking are treated as her employer. 4 years of abuse from a violent sociopath supported by San Diego’s idiot judges being played by corrupt attorneys. Basically mirdering children daily.

Subjugates men into indentured servitude and forces children into human trafficking. Absolutely no respect for victims of sexual assault and gladly conforms to the corruption in family law that destroys children’s lives. Most definitely responsible for the abuse of children through direct actions of refusal to read court documents and will not address fraud from attorney cronies.
