As far as judges go, slightly better than a simpleton. 3Ls: clerk elsewhere.
I'm not shocked by most of these comments. Judge Jennings has a difficult time managing her docket, not allowing for an efficient way of getting cases decided. Simple motions, let alone complex ones, take too long to get decided. That's unfair to lawyers trying to advocate for their clients
She might be fair-minded, but my 6th grade child is fair-minded. I wouldn't want my child adjudicating criminal cases.
Shocked by the other comments. I’ve found Judge Jennings to be a very fair-minded judge.
Disagree with previous comment. She's not on par with with your least intelligent law professor. Think, instead, of your best middle school teacher.
Think of the least intelligent professor you had in law school. That's Judge Jennings.
She's no legal genius, but she's nice enough. I know that's not high praise for a federal judge, but I'll take ignorant but nice over ignorant and mean.
To say Judge Jennings is a political hack would be a compliment. She (or her clerk) doesn't understand basic principles of constitutional law. Worse than that, from a judicial perspective, she (or her clerk) is an inept writer. She'll never make it to the Sixth Circuit, no matter who's president. I'd say she'd make a better magistrate judge, but that would be an insult to magistrate judges, like the exceptional Magistrate Judge Colin Lindsay. Of all the people in the Commonwealth to be appointed a federal judge in Kentucky, Judge Jennings is a joke. I love Mitch, but this judge is an idiot.
