Reginald Neal

I take no joy in writing this review and am extremely disappointed that such an important role was handed over to Neal who doesn’t at all follow any rules of law. Neal has zero sensitivity to matters pertaining to family court, has zero control over his court room often entertaining parties to have aggressive outbursts in his courtroom. Neal adheres to none of the rules acceptability regarding documents submitted into evidence. Neal welcomes wholly unsubstantiated claims and doesn’t permit opportunity to rebuttal or object to hearsay. Neal displays clear favoritism and makes completely arbitrary rulings without allowing the right to legal due process to both parties and is more focused on herding people like cattle in and out of his courtroom so he can clear his calendar and get a kick start to his 4 day long weekend. He walked out of the courtroom and didn’t care that the respondent had violated his TRO by calling and threatening a witness to intimidate her from giving testimony a night before the court date. The TRO was granted by a Long Beach court earlier that same month. Neal allowed respondent to present his case first even though he was the aggressor and didn’t permit me to present my case nor my substantiated evidence nor counter the false narrative provided by respondent. I was given no opportunity to present my case at all and the Neal further victimized me by dismissing my case and granting my abuser a DVRO based on favoritism and falsified hearsay. Neal did not permit my witness to give testimony let alone ask what her testimony was in regard to. Neal is not fit for this role and I pray no one has to be victimized by an abuser and at the hands of an ill fit judge the way I have been. This has been extremely traumatic and has shattered my faith in justice and destroyed my ambition to succeed in every way. This Judge does not know anything about Family Law or what the best interest of the child means. He gives legal advice to the party he favors and doesn't take Domestic violence protective orders seriously. He seems to think everything is funny because he giggles a lot. It's so weird. I have never seen a Judge giggle so much and at such an inappropriate time. Parents and children are walking away heartbroken and he his just giggling about everything. His rulings are reckless to say the least. He does seem like a nice person but he does not have a clue what he is doing in in that Robe. Very scary. Disqualify this Judge if you get him. He needs more training in domestic violence and family law. He is experimenting with children's lives. CCP 170.6 Him if you want a more competent Judge.
