Judge Renee Goldfarb had no ability to tell right from wrong. She presided in the custody hearing for our family. She was very biased and ignored factual evidence. She is a terrible human being with no ethics. She damaged our family permanently. She cost us so much money and made all problems worse. Then she completely dismissed the case.

Judge Goldfarb allowed my ex to flagrantly disregard court orders put in place by a prior judge. My ex was in contempt of court for years, with Goldfarb doing nothing to make him comply. The result was my ex died, while still in litigation, leaving myself and his 3 children without the court ordered life insurance policy that was supposed to be in place (my ex stopped paying the premiums). He also owed over $120,000 in back support, all while he lived a lavish life traveling and spending ungodly amounts on himself and others. My ex hid his wealth with an amoral co-conspirator, who refuses to give my exes money to my children and denies any knowledge of said money. The result for myself and his children has been living in poverty and extreme debt. Goldfarb ruined our lives in many ways. It’s been 5 years and we are all still struggling.

She was horrible. She stood in for my original judge. She didn’t hear the facts so the at she could make an accurate ruling. It was a waste of my attorneys time, as well as my time AND MONEY. I never wanna see her again. Piss poor excuse of a judge.

Goldfarb was the judge who presided over my divorce. She had just been elected to the bench at the time. She was very biased and unprofessional then and it appears as though she has not grown into her role. She’s up for re-election in 2023. I think the citizens of Cook County should help her to retire after the next election!!!

My case dealt with (750 ILCS 5/513) (from Ch. 40, par. 513) Sec. 513. but Judge Goldfarb wasn't interested in debating the statute. She put me in the position of paying the mortgage for the disabled adult child or buying her necessities. She made the parent with the vagina 100% responsible for financial stability, diapering, nursing, applying for benefits. The other parent was held to no account. He was able to send harassing texts, emails. He is an attorney and has worked in the same courthouse of almost three decades. She listened as his attorney repeated multiple times that my child's father was an attorney. So I was given the impression it must carry weight. He was able to be in contempt of court for months and we never were shown his assets or an accurate showing of his multiple tax returns. She showed no concern for the child's needs in this matter. None. Typical for the state of Illinois which is second only to Arkansas for worst state support of adults with special needs. But so disappointed that a female in 2022 still shows the prejudice toward single parents. I am deep in debt now with no recourse because I was made to be the sole provider for the months the case was dragged out.
