The main criticism for this judge is that he has had a particularly rude law clerk for years.

The main criticism for this judge is that he has had a particularly rude law clerk for years. Aside from that, he’s pretty much fine except his part is extremely slow.

I knew "Ritchie" before he became a judge while working at Ridgewood Buswick Senior Citizens Council, Inc. He led the Legal Services Offices while I led the Housing Management portfolio. Having conversations with him, led me to see how humble this individual was which inspired me to eventually go to law school. He was always fair and knew never to be political in his decisions. I was involved in a civil case where he apologetically refused to hear my case because of a conflict of interest issues which I understood and respected. I knew he would be one of the few decent uncorrupted judges from that experience. Today he is a Supreme Court Justice (Kings County), not bad for a Latino graduating from CUNY Law. I hope I have similar success when I graduate from law school, possibly clerk for him.
