Not fair towards women…sided with the male side in every decision. Broke my heart & left me with little faith in our court system. It was first & only experience. Then I met two other judges in Arizona that taught me fair & balanced opinions & rulings. To become a judge is incredible hard work, dedication, day in & day out listening to people fight and argue. I am glad I met judges that are truly honest & filled with goodness. Not all judges treat women like Roy Whitehead. If he is assigned to your case & you have the ability to switch…I would.

Disregarded court appointed advisor's opinion and ruled in favor of 50/50 custody. Opposing parent admitted to felony child endangerment on the stand. Opposing parent also married to someone who physically and emotionally abused children and placed them in physical danger multiple times. Opposing parent admitted to refusal to coparent. Also has been to jail for contempt of court for failure to comply with child support My lawyer was floored by the ruling, my kids and I were devastated. This has negatively affected their childhoods and my life. Trial and attorney fees were a waste bc he was clearly going to rule in favor of the father no matter what.

This judge has a good heart and does not take his decisions lightly. It was an extreme pleasure working for him.

He is temperamental, let's his emotions dictate how he will rule. Easily agitated and seems his ego is above the law.

One mistake after another and another. He ruled on "credible opinion" and he DISREGARDED 100% EVIDENCE. He made so many mistakes my Attorney took my case to the Court of Appeals (COA). The COA told him to include specific evidence. He indeed allowed the evidence during trial, then made his ruling on "credible opinion" and disregarded the evidence the COA told him to rule on. He ruled on issues that were non issues, and failed to rule on the issues that were before him. This trial has cost me $250 thousand and 7 years of hell. All because of his incompetence. He allowed and tolerated husband to change in his testimony again and again and again. He refused the motion to hold husband accountable for perjury. He allowed Husband to violate the temporary orders 5 times. He allowed harassment. He did nothing to protect the woman from the violence of the man. After 7 years, I got a new judge. The new judge got the parties to settle in 30 minutes!!!! Curses to Judge Whitehead. Praises to Judge Russell.
