The Honorable Judge Zobel is a phenomenal woman and judge. I had the pleasure of sitting in her courtroom for 3 days in May of 2010. I can't tell you how impressed I was with her judicial prowess! It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I will treasure this time as a juror serving with Judge Zobel, for a long time to come!
I agree completely with comment 5920 below. Judge Zobel gives you faith in the judicial system.
Just finished serving on a jury with Judge Zobel. It was my first time to serve and I was very impresssed. She was efficient but explained things very carefully to jurors. Follow-up after decison was very helpful. If I were a defendant and had a choice of a jury or Judge Zobel; I would choose the judge knowing she would be prepared, informed, fair and would make a decision based only on the facts.
I recently served on a jury in this judge's courtroom. She was no-nonsense, considerate, encouraging of questions on our part, and generally an impressive jurist.

Conscientous, professional, smart, doesn't show off, insists on not wasting her or jury's time, does her homework thoroughly, tough on irrelevancies and piling on of extra motions or evidence. Very warm personality unless counsel is unprepared or wastes time. One gets the sense that she does not like mandated sentencing.
