Now presiding over the default judgment motion part in Kings Supreme.
Now presiding over the default judgment motion part in Kings Supreme. One of the busiest parts in Brooklyn, but only holds calendar calls one day a week. Very frequently late, sometimes by over an hour. Calendar calls turn into cattle calls, and her staff are totally incompetent at controlling the flow of parties in the courtroom. Cannot move motions forward, bouncing or rejecting unopposed default motions over nothing. You can't get her staff to act or respond to anything, and nothing happens in between appearances, even if you're directed to submit supplemental papers. This is DJMP, most of these applications are unopposed, but it still takes months and months to get decisions. Not sure if it's laziness or incompetence or both. Should not be a Supreme Court Justice, definitely shouldn't be presiding over such a busy part. She's not mean or abusive, which is nice, and she is flexible in scheduling subsequent appearances, which I guess counts for something.
