As the other comments stated this judge is a disgrace to the system. My daughters and I have absolutely no faith in the judicial system after dealing with this pathetic, unprofessional and bias to those that don’t have a lawyer. An example : she court ordered that I get my 15 year old daughter in counseling which I had no problem with even though I didn’t think she needed it. After 2 months of seeing a court appointed counselor the counselor let the judge know that my daughter was doing great and really didn’t need any counseling to begin with and definitely didn’t need any future counseling. What does Shelly Avril do she said “well that’s not going to happen “ and made my daughter continue counseling for absolutely no reason other that her holier than thou persona. I tried to let her know that she was wasting my, my daughters My daughter and the counselors time. Only to be told that my daughter is going to end up hating me. After that statement I knew I was dealing with someone that has some serious issues and in my opinion has no business being in civil law. This is just a small part of the of the disgusting comments, and actions of this judge. I really feel for the other men and women that have had the unfortunate dealings with her. Just to put it out there it’s been 7 years and my daughters and I couldn’t be any closer. The judge may think that I lost everything to which I did but really I won because I have the love and respect of my daughters . I wouldn’t trade that for anything
