Shereen J Charlick

Judge Charlick was perhaps the only person in the entire system who actually cared about my case, I owe her an enormous debt of gratitude. I have 50/50 custody now, my children are enrolled in school, and they're receiving proper medical care largely due to her intervention. If you're a cynical liar, prey you don't come before her. She will see through you, she will call you out and she will embarrass you in court.

I had several appearances with this judge over the past year and a half regarding my divorce. My ex husband was the petitioner. He got to tell his side of the story, but this judge would not give me the same courtesy. If she is the judge presiding over your case, and you want to be treated fairly and with respect, then you will need to request a different judge!!

She's biased, impartial and she runs off what she feels not by the law. She's very dismissive she will cut you off and not allow you to finish if she just doesn't like it not if it's fact. She breaks up a lot of families I've read multiple reviews on this lady. Somehow some way her cases needs to be reviewed because she's breaking up families and her court appointed lawyer Christina Moraine is in cahoots with whatever her agenda is and her bias

This judge is keeping *currently my daughter in a home that she was assaulted in because she said I was rude. This judge refused to believe the owner of 101 visitation that my child was in mental, emotional and physical danger. The judges appointed the 101 visitation to teach parenting classes at her facility. The judges sided with the other parent. With proof. I have been in court with her since 3/22/20222. Sherleen NEEDS to remove her feeling about a litigant and follow the law. Your breaking up homes. My daughter ran away for 2 weeks because of the abuse. Shereen put her back with her father. Then stated I was the reason. I had supervised visit. I could tell my daughter to do such a thing. Calls are recorded.

I had a very unpleasant experience in dealing with this judge. She was very rude, impatient and unpleasant to deal with.

I always want to give someone the benefit of the doubt when I hear negative things, but in this situation, everything negative written about Judge Charlick is accurate. Judge Charlick is one of the most inept and unprofessional judges I have ever dealt with. She openly admits to not reading information sent to her that is critical to making decisions at a hearing. She lets some people rant and complain and basically take over the hearing, while others get shut down, and she won't allow them to speak or defend themselves against hearsay and outright lies. It's actually sickening to watch her work. She seems to think she is above the law. Of the four types of judicial misconduct, I can say Judge Charlick is guilty of three: bias and prejudice, abuse of authority, and demeanor and delays. My feelings are not based on my getting a decision I was not happy with. I feel this way because of how I have been treated and how I have seen her treat others in the courtroom. She seems to pick a side and is dismissive and rude toward the other party, even when that person has clear evidence to support their case. Having her as a judge is a waste of taxpayers' money. She clearly has no desire to be fair and impartial, or do her job. Everyone who has been on the receiving end of her abuse of power should submit a complaint to the California Commission on Judicial Performance (CJP).

Judge Charlick is scared of a large group of attorneys in San Diego who have a reputation for being bullies and fraudulent so she just licks their ass all day long till there is no more poop for her to swallow. Imagine being a judge and having your attorney peers control you.

This judge told/ordered me to do something that is against California procedure for registering an out-of-state IAH, even though the individual had violated it 6 times and faced criminal charges. Saying you don't serve protection. It's a shame that the California Legal system is very messed up. The facts don't matter in CA anymore, nor does law and order. The only way to promote change is to reach out ot the judicial review; however, I'm not sure of their processes anymore. They are a powerful organization.

This judge's overall performance is scary. Pray and pray for God to intervene if you get judge Shereen J charlick. This lady put children in danger, after it what brought to her attention and backed with proof and facts. Over 9 cps cases warning of what has been going on and judge Shereen makes the decision to put the kids in danger where they substained injury's including head and face wounds, children in scary environment's they have never been in around convict's and drug abuser's.This judge is EXTREMELY SCARY. Pray she resigns soon.

I will tell you what is truth about this judge and i watched 9 cases before which i believe she was correct and fair ! Now i was not happy with her before because she didnt allow evidence as i had witnesses there who took off work so i got a peremptory challenge when i got in court we came to an agreement that she would be fair and allow evidence which she did And after the 9 cases which i deemed fair because she heard both sides and showed no prejudice or bias which i cant say for all judges here many going on heresay opinions and lies and its guilt by accusation not facts evidence and truth she listened without bias prejudice ideology party affiliation i will ask for her again because i have another case there which is contrary with laws in question i will commend judge Charlick even though i didnt get everything and i hold her accountable if my ex endangers my son in the future because she made that ruling i have no criminal record actually outstanding record with the police and im a good father im a christian attend church regularly and teach my son to love and obey the lord my ex is a worldly person materialistic and lies ! there is a supreme god a heaven and a hell and it doesnt matter who believes it because we are all judged not by this worldly standard but by gods son jesus record i got to critique and to preach ! not heresay and opinion but facts and truth !

I read all these comments before my first hearing. I thought surely a judge wouldn't be so emotionally governed. I was WRONG. Every review on this page is correct. She even stated that she was going against the documented information and using her discretion because she could. The opposing party lied, to which there was established and documented proof of their inaccuracies, and she changed topics. She misunderstood the facts she read, and when corrected, she brushed it off stating she didn't have time to read every document, so she was using her discretion. Even when presented with the proper code or case law, which she states she is well aware of, she relies on her discretion. That word comes up a lot in her hearings. If you get this judge and you don't fall within the parameters of her ideology you better have a plan B. Also, it might be good to have a thick skin because she will make off-handed comments that are baseless and personally degrading in manner. My second hearing was just as bad, so it's not her having an off or bad day.

`There is nothing honorable about this judge She is biased and prejudiced and is governed by her emotions and feelings toward someone, her ideology and political party IF they could give a rating under 1 she would have that She doesnt want to hear the truth, the facts or witnesses She is a disgrace! you cant get a fair hearing from her and her friendship with other horrible biased judges are used in her decision making

This judge is by far the worst judges here in San Diego. After many delays because of my ex husband, we finally went to trial. I submitted important pieces of evidence, some docs were sealed (CWS report), to this judge and they were NEVER opened or reviewed. Yet again, my ex husband played the victim and without submitting any evidence still got his way. She needs to be fired or reevaluated to see if this role is a proper fit for her. Never sees things for how they are, rules on her discretion. People that are supposed to enforce the law, need to do a better job at doing just that - enforcing the law. There is no way that this should be happening.

I agree with the 2/29/2023 and the 2/2/2023 post. This judge clearly did not read any of the paperwork my attorney files. She read my soon to be ex's documents and made a judgement about me based on his story only. She never took my side of the story in account. She has left my family in a dangerous position and forcing us to move for our safety. Based on how she behaved in court and her hostile behavior towards me I can only assume she has a son who went through a high conflict divorce and she is punishing women trying to leave their high conflict divorce.

Used her discretion upon making her judgment on my domestic violence case. My attorney advised that I seek information on an appeal. Too much evidence proving my case was NOT taking into account, nor did my ex-husband bring anything to help support his argument. She still ruled in his favor twice. There was electronic stalking, harassment, and threats that were made and she still felt that I did not meet my burden. Even though I submitted evidence proving otherwise. The law is the law and these people in power are supposed to follow the law, not use their discretion. There is so much more to my story, but not enough space to write.

Agree with the post of 1/5/22. She definitely does not read the documents submitted with the court and does not care a lick regarding the CRC and CCP. She does not appear to have any regard for a parent that moves out of state to better their situation (as we all know, Divorce is financially devastating). Made a change order to a judgment that hadn't even been accepted by the court. Does not care about what any non-attorney party has to say. Rules on whim. Makes commentary that she can't back up. The only thing you can do is laugh at her rulings, even when they are unfair to you.

Unprofessional, needs to be fired. Shows up late to work all the time. Never reads documents and gives a fair trail. Also makes consistent unprofessional remarks.
