I tried a case before Judge Syed when she was fairly new to the bench. She was extremely patient, even-handed, and fair (this coming from a civil defense attorney). She let the parties speak their arguments no matter how long it took and considered all arguments carefully. She often reserved decision to ensure her rulings were sound. However, once she made a decision, she stuck to it, despite an aggressive and bullying plaintiff's attorney who was clearly trying to intimidate her. It was a pleasure to try a case before her. Her staff were excellent as well.
