SHE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED. and The conflict of interest she has with Jamie Romero is extremely disconcerting. She favors abusive men with a very violent history and three divorces over the three women that have suffered severe domestic abuse from him and his children. She is prejudicial and does not have a neutral point of view on anybody’s case. She does not have the mental capacity nor the patient to be on the bench and seems to be screwing up a lot of women’s lives that have been domestically abused to extreme expenses, and have barely walked away with their lives. She will give those men everything they Want And still let those women feel shame hurt guilt, and not be able to move on. She is rewarding those men. She is currently doing that on my case, and she needs to recuse herself before further charges are going to be pressed against her negligence as a judge.

Pros- she smiles, she is soft spoken, she gives eye contact, Cons- sarcastic, rude to the lawyers she doesn't like, nicer to the men, typical white woman, the woman doesn't care about the kids. She supports the wrong side each time. In my case, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt despite all the horror stories online about her, but she didn't give a hoot about the fact that the father was not getting the kids for a year and admitted to it, he was late each time for court, he had a violent criminal history, he never followed the order which he admitted to, but most importantly the child was in his care when marijuana was discovered in his pocket. Idky she continued visitations, had it been me, I would've said "based on what I'm hearing- let's go ahead and temporarily suspend visitations for the time being bc you weren't getting the kids for a year anyways so it's not like another month will make a difference". I hate to say this, but this leads me to believe she's a racist and white supremacist bc they tend to subconsciously do things that are counter productive to black populations bc they feel that unsafe environments are common for us, whereas had it been a white child she would have put forth more effort into protecting that child. She even threatened to give custody to the father, a convicted felon, from me, a college graduate with no record, as a way into pressuring me to add a provision that I didn't think was necessary. I don't trust this woman and I can't wait until she is off the bench.

Stacey Romeo (Monroe County Family Court): Racist and rude, Romeo has no qualms about removing children from safe homes. Usually this is done with the collusion of her favored Attorney for the Child, Sarah Fifield. When public outcry makes a case stressful for her, she transfers the case to Judge Joseph Nesser. In one case, Romeo removed a child and threw her into foster care on the basis of an allegation that a mother had applied oil to a child’s body as part of a Hindu ritual. At a hastily arranged 1080 hearing, both parents tried to explain cleansing rituals common around Diwali. Romeo cut them off: “I am not going to listen about Hindu practices… I don’t care what you do in your country.” In this case, Romeo refused to offer an interpreter to the mother, whose primary language was Telugu (spoken by 93 million Indians). Romeo is also notorious for fraud upon the court, and tampering with evidence. Official transcripts bear little resemblance to what is stated in court. Romeo is terrified of publicity. She makes everyone hand in their cellphones before entering her courtroom, although often she simply bars the public from entering, in direct contravention of the Chief Judge’s directive that all courts must be open to the public. There is an online petition to Romeo removed and sanctioned here. It related to a case where Romeo recklessly allowed a father custody of child, even though he was a convicted sex offender. Protests outside the courtroom led to adverse media coverage, which then persuaded Romeo to recuse herself from the case. Romeo classifies herself as a Conservative and a Republican and has her own Twitter account, which she uses to raise money. She was elected a family court judge in 2016, when she narrowly defeated Democratic party candidate Maritza Buitrago in the Monroe County Family Court general election.
