Makes a bad situation worse.

I left an abusive man and asked court for divorce. Court gave my kids to my rich abuser. Sato punished me for kicking a door with flip flops on. I was trying to get my underwear and social security card from the family home and kicked a door out of frustration. She gave me a 3 year restraining order. Told me my history of abuse from my ex was not credible and gave custody to him. He called me a cunt and cunt faced bitch in front of our sons. He threw things at me. That’s why I divorced him but it wasn’t credible to this judge. She treated me like a criminal. I wanted to see my sons. I wanted to have equal parenting rights. She took my sons from me and handed them to my abuser and didn’t blink an eye at anything he did to me. I don’t understand why she serves rich men to harm their stay at home wives. They benefited from us staying home for over 20 years and suddenly since you’re leaving, you’re worth nothing for not having worked more. I was raising 3 boys, one with chronic kidney disease. I watched him when he was sick and well. No one in the world could have been there for my son in that way but me. I am priceless for my sons. Court tried to gaslight me with my ex into believing I don’t deserve rights. I am a woman. I experienced real abuse. Judge Sato did not care. Her rulings favored the man so much so that I was nearly homeless trying to get rights. This court should not push people into bankruptcy. I had to pay tens of thousands for help and it was horrible going thru the trauma in that court. She traumatized me.

This judge was a complete psycho, had poor knowledge of the family law and abused her discretion. She has been just kicked out of family court and reassigned to probate. I bet she messed up real bad this time and her career is over.

Worse judge ever in my years of practice. What judge sanctions attorneys!!! yes, a day late for filing BUT IT WAS NOT BIG DEAL ON THE OUTCOME OF THE CASE. Horrible temperament. Just mean and clearly biased. She needs removed from the bench. If she treats attorneys this way--she must treat litigants worse!!! Get her off the bench!!!!

Extremely bad ! it is worse than the current presidency. She is arrogant, inhumane and above all has poor knowledge of family law. She cost me a lot and i wish she gets 1000 fold back for her poor actions and negligence of the power bestowed on her. She cost me money, my childs safety and no one should deserve this judge. Unethical beast

Horrible judge. The family court should act in the best interest of children, but not this judge. Very biased against women, sides with the abusers, abuses sanctions, disregards the evidence,abuses her discretion, has poor knowledge of the law, but a very big ego. Has no concern for the children's best interests, and no experience in the family law, or any idea about standard procedures. It is hard enough to go through custody battle, but she really makes it a nightmare.

Very poor and biased behavior. She thinks she laws and treats plantiffs poorly and try to berate their counsels. She seems to hate asians and women surprisingly and attacks them. Scolds them a lot. She should be removed from family law as she have no compassion towards actual agony

Always threatens to sanction and in fact sanction litigants for writing too much. Scold litigants for submitting briefs. Don’t be a judge if you don’t want to read. She acts like she is the God. She should not be a judge. Too mean and doesn’t follow the law.

An [Redacted by Ed.] judge with poor Comprehension of Family Code. She will go out of her way to deny access to a Mandatory attorney’s fees for less well off parties. She is [Redacted by Ed.]unfair and fails to follow basic rules of the court. Seems to believe that she can deny people all their rights, while supporting abusers. She chums around with lawyers and is far too interested in lawyers getting access to money they have not earned. This judge granted $50,000 in legal fees to a lawyer who was only retained for four months, and only was in court for a total of two days. She agreed to the disposal of community property massively under value, permitted one party to embezzle $100,000s and continued to hear a case when she was disqualified from doing so. You would be hard pressed to find a more [Redacted by Ed.] judge. Fundamentally, she is another dangerous family court judge in a County where they appear to pride themselves in violating basic rights, and depriving people of their own property. The only thing to do is to continue to complain and expose the abuse of process in the family Courts in California.
