Tammy S. Robbins

I was recently a member of a jury. I was very impressed with the way Judge Robbins conducted the trial. The trial was conducted in a most professional manner and great pains were taken to ensure that every one's rights were not violated

Tammy Robbins appeared to me to be a weak judge only interested in “covering her own a--,” as the saying goes. During my case, I found Robbins to be lazy, distracted, and forgetful. She did not even bother to read the documented evidence I provided. In fact, she never examined the evidence I provided during any of the numerous court hearings held over a two-year period. One time when I had two hearings back to back on consecutive days, she forgot the decision she made the day before. I noticed Robbins spent the vast majority of court time in private conferences with the attorneys (which are not recorded in the court transcript) to make off-the-record deals. I found out she was “horse trading” between the attorneys. It was all about what they were willing to agree to (as if all accusations were real), rather than looking at the evidence and trying to establish what was the truth. She took all accusations at face value, no matter how outlandish, and did not even bother to establish an account of who did what when. That consideration never factored into her decisions. Frankly, she avoided making any decisions of her own. She preferred to use what had already been decided in other parts of the case (my case had multiple aspects to it). When she did, she never provided any justification for her decisions.

I have not been in this judge's courtroom but I have been the victim of her judgements. She prevented me, a grandmother, a grandfather, uncles, aunts, cousins, half siblings and their father from seeing my grandsons now for over 3 years. She didn't read any of my son's notes, didn't ask any of us into the courtroom, couldn't remember anything from session to session. Obviously knows nothing about child development (although she is in family court). Does not believe in reuniting families. (I can only believe that the state of NY is not interested in reuniting families, as they have allowed her to be a judge). Has caused tons of sorrow and heartache to the entire family. The boys in question will be in therapy for the rest of their lives due to this horrible judge. She has done irreparable damage to our family. And it was totally avoidable if she had done her job. She is a disgrace to the state of NY and the judicial system.

Judge Tammy Robbins was playing a game on her phone while ON THE BENCH and the person testifying could see the game she was playing! She also is not informed about domestic violence/abuse. She mocks and rolls her eyes at lawyers and name calls.
