This judge had no idea about the case before presiding over the case. It appeared she had made her mind up before even hearing from both sides. She told me that I should get an education and take care of myself instead of depending on my now ex husband to take care of me since I was the one petitioning for a divorce and implied that I was seeking a payout. I had an undergrad degree and an advanced degree at the time and was a veteran who had honorably served my country. She would have better understood the case if she'd read the paperwork prior to trial. After going to her chambers to do so, her tune changed. She tried to paint herself as a "no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is" judge (think Judge Judy energy). However, she came across as an unprofessional and unprepared person who let their bias color their judgement instead of ruling based on the information presented to her.
