Having worked within the OK County for years now, I had heard rumors about Potts being extremely cliquish, with majority of cases handled by regular local insiders. Last week, I found out firsthand just how accurate that is. I appeared before McDaniel for the first time on an FD and was completely railroaded—for no reason. Neither my client nor I did anything wrong; we weren’t even given the chance to. From the moment she came in she was hot out of the gate and never let up. The opposing attorney, local who had previously worked within the district, seemed to have a clearly prepped her. In seven years of practicing in OK courts, this was the first time I’ve truly witnessed what one could reasonably call extreme bias—if not outright corruption—on full display. I doubt I’ll be taking another in Shawnee after this experience. Feel the worst for my client, never had a shot.

I am not one to file complaints and do not want the blow back as I have been practicing for many years. However, to say that this Judge is extremely biased is putting it pleasantly. The outright favoritism that I witnessed this week as I sat in the back of the court room waiting for my clients hearing to begin only to observe the railroading that look place was nothing short of sicking. Especially, because I knew why it was happening and the party it was happening to had no clue the relationship between the opposing counsel and the Judge. Like I said I am not one to complain, but fair warning to anyone that enters through the doors of her court room. You better find someone she favors to represent you and don't even think about attempting to show up alone. If so she will without hesitation break and violate every one of your rights and laws she feels fit to gain the outcome she wants and leave you with zero chance of prevailing regardless of right or wrong. This judge operates off of emotions not legal practice. I was mortified observing this level of corruption that day, a very disheartening and destructive practice. These are the reasons no one in OK trusts the court system.

Terrible in civil court gives children to drug addict, thieving, vindictive mothers with all proof against the mothers. Very bias! Rude! Has no patience an belittle good parents when evidence of bad ones. Scheduling is far behind. Temperament is like he doesn't want to be in the court room. Tears children's lives apart by putting them with the wrong parents. Even starts and stops hearings to protect individuals from being caught in lies and not allowing the attorneys to properly state their case. Sound not only be removed from her lawless bench but needs to be disbarred. Never seen anything like her in 20+ years of practicing.

She is one of, if not the worst judge in Oklahoma. A pawn for the District Attorneys Office and a co conspirator for and with her long time attorney friends that she is in bed with and uses the court as all of their money counter dragging out cases that she already has her mind long made up on before it even starts. She has the inability to think for herself and does or rules based off of whatever outcome her conflict of interest local attorneys say.

Better hope you don't get your family law case in front of this nut. [Redacted by Ed.] If she knows one of the attorneys its over doesn't matter a single word that is said she will not listen and just go through the motions with her mind long made up. [Redacted by Ed.] She claims that she is a child first and advocate for child, [Redacted by Ed.] The amount of families she has systematically destroyed in her time in office is in the hundreds.

Extremely bias, has her mind made up before entering the court room. Allows people to testify and completely lie on the stand none stop with absolutely no consequences even after mounds of evidence is shown regarding the perjury committed.

Will let hear say evidence be used in court. Allows cos to lie on the stand even if you prove that they lied she doesn't care

Terrible attitude. Doesn’t know the law. Treats her own gender with disdain.
