Vivianne Del Rio

This judge affirms my cynicism in our judiciary. She displays clear biases and makes rulings based on her "feelings". She has her own rules of evidence. For example, she entertains unsworn testimony/statements to the court as evidence in an evidentiary hearing. In her verbal order, Judge Del Rio sympathized with the opposing party (homeowner association), that it will "cost this association a lot of money to continue litigating this. I can only imagine". Zero shame in this judge. If you are "the little guy", you will never stand a chance in her courtroom.

She should be hung for tyranny

Exparte order signed with no hearing or notice...sent in from a non prevailing party the improperly recites hearing w no transcript. Refused to hear motions to clarify exparte order and denied me due process. Had to file a JQC complaint which hopefully will get her removed off bench and 2 appeals...including a writ... and a bar complaint. She js borderline a criminal. She has to be removed

She is by far the worst and most incompetent judge. I don't know how she was even elected. South Florida attorneys should all be ashamed of themselves for sitting idle while individuals like her continue to go unopposed in elections. As a pro se litigant, I successfully moved to have her disqualified from presiding over my lawsuit.

This judge needs to be removed from the bench. She rules with an uneven hand. Her rulings have been appealed successfully for due process violations (opportunity to be heard, not allowing a party to present evidence/testimony). She is as incompetent as they come. How many more litigants have to jump through hoops, spend tens of thousands of dollars and time to seek justice through our courts. Take a look for yourself, she was just disqualified from a case in May, 2024 by the 3DCA. She is pro business and her rulings have a trend of favoring attorneys/firms who donate to her campaign. Sad, she ran unopposed. She will be on this court for another 6 years.

Can't rate this judge on inclination using the rating system as she is neither pro-defendant or pro-plaintiff. She is political and will rule for the politically connected lawyer or law firm who will fund her campaign for reelection. Absolutely no scholarship. Totally clueless. Asks for competing orders without making any rulings. Always adopts the completing order of her favored political connected attorney or party. If you are not part of the club good luck getting scheduling of hearings. The favored party always gets a hearing date. This judge has also been appealed and reversed when lacking independent judicial decision making adopting a completing order. Just make sure to object to her competing order procedure. Like the other review stated "completely inept and entirely unqualified."
