[Redacted by Ed.] He presented himself at my hearing being ignorant of the law and his responsibility. He also does not support the WA Constitution, example: Basden forced me to give up my right to have free access to the record of MY OWN HEARING. He did further threaten me with violence, prison, and fines and thus intimidated me to forfeit my right to justice. (I was making my own recording of my own hearing. Which is my right supported by the WA constitution.) Basden accepted zero questions or explainations. In a few words: A lazy, deaf, abuser of justice.

Basden arrives at hearings without reading the pleadings. He is able to rule in ways that wipe out litigants capacity to maintain legal representation at family court temporary hearings. He was appointed to the judge position, elected without competition and very much so connected to local peer attorneys. He tends to like the Title IV-D federal funding stemming from separating parents from their children, to keep the courthouse open and the county bar fed.
