Judge Torres is great. As an attorney, she practiced family law and that gives her an advantage in presiding over family cases. I am very disappointed to see all the changes that have occurred at Lamoreaux with new judges who seem to not like being assigned to family law and seem to be waiting to get transferred as soon as possible. I have been in front of Judge Torres and really appreciate her candor, knowledge, fairness and respect to all. If you get your case assigned to her, you are very lucky, hope she remains as a family law Judge in OC.

Judge Torres is thorough and patient with non-attorney represented family court litigants. In addition, her court clerks and bailiff are very helpful answering little questions that help a pro-se litigant in court. Judge Torres took the time to read my lengthy pro-se emergency request for order and gave it a fair assessment. Some Judges can be dismissive of parties asking for complicated emergency orders when the documents are prepared by a non-attorney. Judge Torres does the opposite. She reviews and then issues orders based on the law which really gives pro-se filers a fair shake. Exceptional judge.

Judge Torres is a truly dedicated judge, with great organization and knowledge of the law. She is compassionate and fair. Wonderful judge!
