I'm a former federal prosecutor and civil litigator and now an experienced defense counsel who has appeared in 20+ districts during my career. Although the judge didn't follow our sentencing recommendation, she was among the best I have appeared before in carefully weighing arguments and reaching a well-supported conclusion. She also didn't follow the government's recommendation, but I didn't feel like she split the baby. She was thoughtful throughout and I would be happy to have any client assigned to her.
