Botched the oral argument, obstructed attempts to submit additional evidence, and committed perjury in the motion to dismiss while omitting numerous claims and binding precedents. Don't be fooled by his "indifferent" tone, this man is severely unethical.

Ahhh Judge Trenga. Just a pleasure to appear in front of. We had a case where the opposing counsel may or may not have been mentally ill, and judge Trenga was so courteous and patient that we all could not just sit back and marvel at how fair he was. The mans judicial temperament, at least in my experience, is that he does what he can to avoid making attorneys feel nervous or uncomfortable. His opinions are all well-written and well-reasoned...so much so that even when he rules against you, it’s hard not to agree with his ultimate assessment. He is a treasure to the bar and the bench and I consider myself privileged to have appeared before him.

I was sentenced by him back in 2015. Firm but extremely fair. Does not take guidelines into account. Looks at each case specifically for what it is. I was lucky to get him.

I was a potential juror in a case to be tried by Judge Tringa and found him to be respectful, helpful and pleasant during the voir dire process and during private interviews from prospective jurors for responses that required privacy. His instructions were clear and helpful, but he was respectful of our time and grateful for our service. I give him a high rating.
A "judge's judge." Smart, fair, pleasant, flexible, decisive, well-versed in the law, quick to get up to speed on a case that was transferred to him shortly before trial, courageous. I completely agree with the writer of comment # 9733: our judicial system would be so much better with more judges like Judge Trenga.

Every ruling was on point. Even when he overruled me, I had to shake my head and agree. If every judge was this fair, this smart and this even handed, our system would be close to perfect. A younger version of Judge Motz.
