Horrible judge. Racist and will make every effort to rule in favor of the "home team." Pro defense in civil litigation. Third Circuit had to come to the rescue due to the apparent bias of this judge.

One of the worst judges in the Middle District that I have ever had the displeasure of appearing before. He is exceedingly biased. Neither fair nor impartial. You have to be extremely vigilant about your contacts with this judge. File motions and cover your ass. He's a horrible judge.

Overworked owing to 3 vacancies on the Middle District. Seems to like to wait for other judges to rule on hot issues before making his rulings. Will almost always defer to other judges if similar issues are pending before multiple courts. Does not like to go out on a limb.

Excellent temperament! Treats counsel with respect in an evenhanded manner. Direct, professional and judicious. Writes and analyzes issues well. Applies the law fairly.
