He is a truly haughty, arrogant and incompetent jurist. Not that he is unable to 'play ball' with the status quo, but he does not appreciate that the citizens created him and not the other way around, and that government and the courts are the servants of the public and that liberty trumps outweighs all other considerations. He is a narrow-minded prosaic drone, unable to follow complicated lines of reasoning, and does not show respect to those who employ him, but is chummy with his lawyerly ilk. He is a member of a true lawyer-priest elite.

Most legal articles are written so heavily in "Lawyerese" as to be near indecipherable to a layman ("...not inconsistent...", etc. WHAT?!). Just finished Judge Hornby's "Summary Judgment Without Illusions" and want to thank him for writing it in understandable American English. A very refreshing change.

Appears befuddled in his writings, which indicated that he did not know that he has the power to grant writs as per the Bill of Rights and U.S. Constitution. When challenged with the law, he dismissed the request for the writs. Also dismissed habeas corpus filings without a hearing, which is a violation of the law. Clearly has problems understanding his job and the law.

Judge Hornby needs to remove himself from the bench. He received plaintiff's claim and threatened her with sanctions if she continued to file her pleadings which were reasonable. A chief judge's duty is to see that justice is honored and the U.S. Supreme Court makes clear that a pro se's complaint must be heard and allowed to go forward. This judge is biased and prejudiced against the plaintiff and has allowed top officials, as defendants, to get away with their legally complained-of bad behavior when according to the law they are responsible and should be held accountable.

Will "shut down" a person who poses potent questions which could expose the truth.
