Well, I guess I should not have posted since I am not an attorney. EP14CV00124DB. But than again, everyone that is subject to decisions of court's should be able to participate.

Tried a death case to verdict in his court. Lots of issues, many subsidiary rulings that shaped the lawsuit. He worked hard to keep the train on the tracks. I know he took Senior Status but it doesn't show. This is a hardworking judge.

The judgement Dr. Lorenzo Garcia received by Briones was a slap in the face to the community of El Paso. Getting such a light sentence sent a loud and clear message to the students of El Paso. No wonder we have a "Brain Drain!"

U.S. District Judge David Briones is out of touch with the citizens of El Paso and should retire. He is a Clinton appointee and need to find a nice seclude beach and retire.

Tough judge, but even-handed. Expects lawyers to be prepared. If you're prepared and have a compelling argument/issue, he will listen. Wish he would allow voir dire.

briones should have never been appointed to the federal bench, he is incompetent, does not know the laws inre civil rights cases, he is known in elpaso as a bad judge. And its about time the U.S. Attorneys office boots him off the bench, he was not allowed to hear the corruption cases coming out of elpaso due to the fact that he does not wear a blind fold, he wears an eye patch on one eye and winks with the other eye, i am suprized that the feds havent charged him with some kind of crime. he operates on the buddy system. i am so happy that he will be gone off the fed bench. ps you dont retire from a fed bench at his age, you are only forced off the bench. all of above is only my opinion and others. goodby to a bad, bad judge, he also blurts out in open court "this is my court" and hes wrong, its the peoples court. if anyone disagrees with me please respond

Further he signed an order, stating that if this litigant proposed a settlement [6-1] on 04CV0452 that the case would not be dismissed in prejudice unless permission was granted by the Attorney General of the United States.

I have had this judge twice in Qui Tam litigation. First time he felony concealed my original service 02CA0237DB and the docket proves entry 137 at the front of the docket rather than the back. When the government intervened, the second time he got a stay and dismissed the case with prejudice, knowing that the first case was a private right of action and the second was US Plaintiff and not res judicata on 04CV0452.

A solid, experienced judge. Has good instincts in the courtroom. I've tried 3 civil cases with him on the federal bench and am well satisfied with the way he has handled things.

Huge border caseload, and he has been at it a long time. . .considering the tediousness of the types of cases and the enormity of his docket, he gets a good grade for fairness.
