He's bright, industrious, courteous and a pleasure to appear before. He runs a tight ship and expects counsel to be prepared. The MJ runs the the pretrial criminal process in Mn (to the point of hearing suppression motions and, I presume, issuing a report nd recommendation). We have a complex criminal case and he is not wedded to unrealistic time constraints, i.e., not a rocket docket jurisdiction or judge. Not full of himself but stern/gravitas enough to have the respect of counsel and defendant. I'll report back as I learn more, but so far, he is accomodating to the defense and the government in light of the complexities of the case.
