Well prepared and hard working. Judge Molloy has a reputation for being somewhat grouchy with counsel, but in my experience this only applies to counsel who are unprepared. He will often come to pretrial conferences having done his own research and wanting to discuss issues the parties have not anticipated. If you don't know what he's talking about (which is what happened to me recently) admit it and ask to file a status report on the issue. You are probably not smart enough to fake it. He's fair and efficient but does not tolerate unprepared lawyers or unreasonable litigants.
