This Judge is arrogant and has shown huge bias in a recent court trial after jury found defendant guilty on on charges judge stood up and smiled from ear to ear. He then excused the jury and paused the hearing to follow the jury to the back room and all you could hear was a bunch of laughs coming from the jurors and judge. I though this was extremely in appropriate. The counselors were confused and so was I as the family member of the defendant. This is not justice !

` Judge Woods is the smartest judge I have appeared before in 3 decades of practice. Tremendously hard working and prepared. Nice to be before a judge who picks things up in real time. No explanations ever necessary.

The judge is an inflexible tool. Morally superior and works 24x7. Decent voir dire. Expect motions due within hours, on weekends and by 8 am the next morning. He will remand the client after any loss and without a presumption. Granted the government everything and shows an inclination to cut vouchers.

This “Judge” Gregory Woods has a huge, scary, and fiery temper [Redacted by Ed.] Never before has my law firm been before a Judge who was so mean-spirited, angry, insulting, demeaning, and cruel on the bench. [Redacted by Ed.] ..... He is an activist leftist Democrat Judge.... [Redcated by Ed.]

I really enjoy appearing before him. Very evenhanded and scholarly. Works hard. He is not a 9 to 5 judge. Very polite and moves his cases along.

Hard to imagine this man has reached this professional level of success — for no apparent reason. His approach in a criminal case was blinded by his lack of experience and his complete disinterest in trying to get it right. “pissy” and “limited” — he seems completely disinterested in either doing justice — or — reaching a just result. Very disappointing.

Judge Woods does not take sides. Instead he carefully studies the law like a scientist and issues rulings based on what is fair and just. He is what we think of when we envision a federal judge.

He made a recent high profile ruling based upon an affidavit in which the claimant could be easily proven to be committing perjury. Hate to see this kind of person on the bench.

Come to Judge Woods' court prepared with the support for your argument, or you'll walk out embarrassed -- not because Judge Woods is mean, but because your nonsense will be exposed. This was one of the best jurists I've ever argued in front of -- fair, well-prepared, and on top of things.

I've always liked when a Democrat is in the White house as it means good and able Judges get on the bench. Unfortunately, Obama dropped the ball with this one. He's condescending and pissy. He doesn't think he's different than those lawyers that appear before him, he thinks he's better. He talks in professorial tongue, reminding me of those Profs in law school that loved to give one a hard time. He thinks he's on a throne, not on the bench. He's on the way to the 2nd Circuit? God, I hope not as he'll do more damage there than he could where he is now.

Judge Woods is an intelligent, thorough, and very even handed jurist. He holds Plaintiffs and Defendants to the fire. He is generous with extensions provided that you have good cause for them. His legal decisions are very well thought out and his analysis is thorough even with regard to minute details. He is fair, impartial, and committed to justice and I truly believe he will be headed to the Second Circuit rather quickly. As an Obama appointee, he is a relatively young jurist, which means his turnaround time for motion practice is fairly quick.

I have the highest regard for Judge Woods. This is based on extensive proceedings before him in a civil case, which included multiple pretrial conferences and rulings, a one-week jury trial, and a comprehensive post-trial motion. He is smart, even-handed, dedicated, decisive, reasoned, efficient and effective.

Judge Woods is a star, and will likely be elevated to the Second Circuit before too long. He is extremely smart, practical, hard-working and fair.
