You can lie to her face if you are a wealthy corporation. She will find way to blame the other side.
Sadly her decisions get crankier. She definitely can't stand lawyers anymore. Imposes burdens where none ever existed. Too bad.
Serious anger and temperament issues. Seems to hate lawyers or her job or both.
The federal civil system in Connecticut has ground to a total halt over the last few years. The delays are truly astonishing. A few exceptions exist, however, with Judge Hall's docket being one of them. She is diligent and hardworking and moves cases along.
Judge Hall can lose her temper too easily, and, in the process of doing so, she can gratuitously demean counsel.
Judge Hall is a highly intelligent woman. However, because of her temper, she is ill-suited for the bench. She is annoyed and frustrated by one thing after another almost all of the time, and at times looks downright miserable. If it weren't for her moods, I'd have no issues. But she can't control herself, and hence lacks a proper judicial temperament.
All you need in a Judge. Even handed, smart and fair. Only a real dumb attorney would try to BS this lady.
Has a bad temper and can get nasty in a flash. But she's smart and a good judge. I think it's the BS that trial lawyers engage in all the time that she has little patience for. She is more suited for the appellate bench and would make a good addition to the Second Circuit.
Thank you for holding the corporate crooks feet to the fire. She did the right thing in making them honor their contract. (The jet fighter company). keep up the good work.
An excellent, personable and highly intelligent judge. Unlike some judges, you can tell that she has at least read the briefs and thought about the issues at hand before before oral argument.
Smart woman - I'd like to see her move up to the circuit - she is better suited for that given her brains.
Smart and diligent.
The government's puppet!
No worry when she is before a jury, but behind closed doors all bets are off. She can berate a lawyer as effectively as any judge alive, and seems to do so for no reason other than frustration.
In civil litigation, Judge Hall seems genuinely interested in getting things right and her opinions reveal hard work and above-average degree of scholarship. She is, however, one of the most foul-tempered members of the bench - has engaged in more than one abusive tantrum.
