An excellent judge. The three negative comments, obviously all written by the same person (who has an axe to grind), unfairly skew the rating.

I respect Judge Furman. What more can I say that matters?
This arrogant scion of a very wealthy, very politically connected New York real estate family, is a horrible, tyrannical judge, who completely favors big business and government.
This very rich child of privilege boy is an autocrat and cares only about what he wants, the law be damned. He is immature and seems to suffer from Portnoy's Complaint and is way too attached to his mother.
This judge is too arrogant, evern for a federal judge. He is an extremely wealthy Baby Jesus who got his appointment because of his parents: his father is a very, very wealthy Manhattan developer and both parents contribute heavily to left-leaning causes. His older brother is a top Obama, economic advisor. He had virtually no experience practicing law and is very pro-business and pro-establishment and can be very spiteful. A generally very awful judge. His very expensive education at all of the "right" academies and colleges and his intellect do not make up for his lack of experience practing law and his temper.
Fair and balanced. Don't let former USAO credentials scare you. This Judge gets it and will not tolerate prosecutor shenanigans. Of course be prepared and be straight about your facts. A pleasure to be in front of.
A wonderful addition to this bench. A pleasure to appear before. Kind, respectful and smart. Gets it right.
