She admitted evidence in a case, then invoked F.R. Evid. 403 before closing arguments to forbid the lawyer from talking about the evidence. When he inadvertently displayed an exhibit containing the "excluded" evidence, she held him in contempt and imposed a $4000 sanction. The Ninth Circuit promptly reversed her idiotic decision, pointing out the obvious: lawyers get to discuss admitted evidence in their closing arguments. Pity to anyone with the misfortune of having a case assigned to her.

She is the worst -- perhaps Joe Biden's biggest boner while president. She is the antithesis of open-mindedness. Although I am a civil practitioner, I have witnessed how she runs her criminal docket as I waited for the civil cases to be called. She strives to find ways to mitigate every sentence, no matter how severe the crime or how ghastly the offender. Unfortunately, unlike state court, I have no recourse to challenge the random assignment of my cases to her.

she violated her oath. She was biased and unethical in regards to a case that involved the presi ding judge and the district attoney and recklessly dismissed it to tally favor with them knowig what they did to the plaintiff. She entered into a conspiracy to violate this plaitiff civil rights. She needs to be impeached for this

Horrible demeanor. Doesn't listen or engage lawyers -- has her mind made up in advance so any argument is superfluous. Instead, she lectures. Big know-it-all who wants to show everyone how smart she is. Avoid her if you possibly can.

This judge is worse than any I have ever been in front of in over 35 years of practice. She is arrogant and ignorant, a horrific combination for any judge. Her rulings were not about following the law; they were about how the party she thought should win would most benefit. Thankfully, in my case, the jury was not overly influenced by all of her subtle and not-so-subtle attempts to influence the verdict.

Had a trial with her. Excellent judge and comes prepared to every hearing/trial. She runs a tight ship and doesn't tolerate delays or disrespect of the court or the jury. In my experience she was encouraging to new attorneys and willing to give counsel grace. Definitely a good draw.

Unnecessarily harsh on new attorney. I witnessed her make a new attorney nearly cry during his first ever oral argument. Even though it sounded to me that he was correct in the law, she just kept hammering him and would not let him argue his position. Even her tone of voice was untoward. It was a case against the government. So, maybe that was her motivation. Appears to be pro-government.

Totally pro-government. Unless you have something really simple and straight forward, this is the wrong judge for you.
