Judge Slomsky is a good man. He is respectful to the parties. He's soft-spoken and a little slow when he speaks, but has a sharp mind and is a pleasure to appear before. I really liked him.

he is not discourteous and works reasonably hard in terms of moving cases so I had to give him a few decent marks there - but no clue whatsoever about the basics of commercial litigation, managing discovery and about as sharp as a bowling ball on substantive issues in civil cases. Might be fine in criminal cases - which I believe he has a background in.

RE: HABEAS CORPUS LITIGATION Judge Slomsky is a rubber stamp for the government. His appointment to the district court is a disgrace: A ***damn DISGRACE. He puts the rubber in stamp. Judge Slomsky bends over backwards for the government to the extent that he "creates" his own facts to a case--and enters judgment based solely on his "imaginery" facts--just to rule in favor of the government. This man is not a man at all but a c****d wasting space on a bench where a real judge should be sitting.
